FINE ART PRINT SPECIFICATIONS –
Every print I make is an archival print made with the latest Epson large format fine art printers using only genuine Epson archival inks and archival and acid free papers and canvas. I offer three print options and all prints are hand made in limited editions of 25.
The Diasec Print – The artwork is printed on a metallic gloss photo paper with Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks on an Epson 11880 printer and face mounted onto acrylic using an optically clear pressure sensitive mounting adhesive. A sheet of Dibond is been mounted to the back of the print for stability. This process is called a “Diasec” or most commonly known as “plexi mount “. See a sample of a Diasec print.
The Canvas Stretched Print – The artwork is printed with Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks on Lexjet Fine Art canvas and stretched using a 1.5″ thick bevelled bar and delivered with a black edge ready to hang without a frame. See a sample of a Canvas print.
The Classic Museum Print – The artwork is printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching fine art paper using Epson Ultrachrome HDR inks on an Epson 9900 printer . I deliver this print with a classic black frame and matte. The final framed dimensions depends on the size of print. See a sample of a Museum print.
* The longevity of digital imaging for the fine art markets as researched by Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc., rates the Epson ink permanence to be between 75 to 200 years depending on the substrate used. The complete printing processes as described above are estimated to last closer to the 200 year estimate.
